Conservancy Update
Vol. 6, No. 15 (May 8, 2008)

THANK YOU TO
OUR MEMBERSHIP!

We conducted three “neighborhood” annual meetings and collected proxy ballots and comment cards all through the month of April. At our last meeting on April 30 at Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden – we made the final vote and tallied the proxies. The vote was unanimously in favor of changing our name from “Oakland Land Conservancy” to “Six Rivers Regional Land Conservancy” and the proxy ballets were 75 in favor and 2 against. We care what you think about us and about the work we do. And you told us what you think – you can download the Compiled Member Comments and read everyone’s comments.

WE ARE SIX RIVERS…
However, it will take most of the month of May to convert to the new name. You may see documents and publications with one or the other or both names – so please be patient with us!

WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER!
We launched our Spring Membership Campaign this week – please renew your membership or consider an additional contribution that will help us as we grow! Why not download our Spring Membership letter and pass it along to a friend or colleague and encourage them to join?

Also, don’t forget that it is the time to order Bird and Butterfly gardens and to plan to attend our 10th Annual Spring Native Plant Sale on June 1! Visit our Plant Sale page to download everything you need – or give us a call at 248 601 2816 and we will mail you information.

Special thanks to our Nature Suite sponsors for helping to underwrite our 10th Annual Spring Native Plant Sale:
